A Breath of Fresh Air of Mediterranean !!!

April 6, 2011

Picholine offers French-Mediterranean cuisine by Chef/Owner Terrance Brennan and Chef de Cuisine Craig Hopson. A menu rife with original interpretations for the region and classic flavors from France, Spain, and Italy create a delectable melange that include signature entrees like Diver Sea Scallops and Blood Orange Grenobloise. The dessert menu is likewise arresting, with favorites like passion fruit cannoli and pear torchon with smoked maple ice cream.

Picholine complements their exceptional cuisine with one of Manhattan’s best cheese menus, all selected by fromager Max McCalman. On any given night, choose from over sixty artisanal cheeses from all over the world, all maintained at perfect temperature and ripeness in Picholine’s own cheese cave.

Sleek design evokes the modernist twist Picholine’s cuisine is renowned for, with soaring ten-foot velvet curtains, purple leather banquettes, and the distinct decor of the cheese and wine bar and elegant dining rooms.

If you are looking for an intimate dinner for a small group of seven or fewer, their small wine cellar is a hidden gem!
